Lichen and Goose berry themed moccasins created with embroidery, beadwork and caribou hair tufting. The fur trim is rex rabbit fur trim, pile lining for a comfortable wear, dark green deer hide to mimic the forest floor and a piece of traditionally hand tanned smoked moose hide between the vamp and sole. The inspiration behind these moccasins come from the land and more specifically embracing sustainability by representing the food caribou eat (lichen) and their hair for tufting the flower pedals. This pair of moccasins reiterates our Woodland cree way of life which is to always use each piece of the animal which is harvested to honour it’s life and to also celebrate their beauty.
